OK, let me rephrase that. I’m sure most of us would be happy to read the comic in black and white and with simplified art if it means you don’t have to suffer for your work. We all want you to live long and… well, you know.

PS On another topic… I don’t know how much say siteholders have over the content of ads, but I want to express my total contempt for the ad that claims hedonism will guarantee eternal damnation. I have no beef with anybody’s religious beliefs, but if Jesus refuses anybody redemption just because they play sports, party, watch porn or act cool, he’s a total jerk, and not the guy the Bible says he is. Now, maybe the ad is meant to be a joke, a satire on Christian funamentalism, but if so it ain’t funny. End of rant.

My impression is what ads you get is more linked to your location (geographically) and maybe your surfing habits (read: cookies left in your browser) than any kind of decision by the siteholders.

I wonder if the guy is advertising on my site because there’s so much lesbian depravity going on here? u_u
I could ban that ad, but I’m earning like 5 cents a day from it! What can I say, I’m a sellout.

It wouldn’t bother me if you spent less time on things. Your art is gorgeous, but if it were, say, 47% less gorgeous, it would still be 312% more gorgeous than the average webcomic. I could live with that, and maybe you could to.

I just found this comic. It’s beautiful.

Your art is beautiful.

But know that I would keep reading, *gladly*, no matter the concessions you might have to make. Having read some of your posts about your wrist… Well, I have a friend with the same problem, only it affected his shoulders most. It’s not a nice thing to deal with, and the best thing you can do is to go easy on yourself whenever you can.

So don’t push yourself- when it comes to comics, the artistic vision of it isn’t just in the art itself, but in the work as a whole. I would still love this comic if all the art wasn’t even half as good as the very first page.

What your readers care about most, more than any demands for ‘perfect’ art, is that you’ll be able to continue sharing this story- and others- with us for years to come. I look forwards to that. So don’t let yourself burn out.

Your comic is beautiful and the characters amazing, but if you’re torturing yourself with it’s creation, you should stop.

Ok, I’ve got a few things to say, so it’s dot point time! (or numbered list or something)
1) Is it just me or is her phone a “Pear”?
2) Personally, the storyline is what is keeping me here (the art is a fantastic bonus) and I’m sure I would enjoy it just as much if we were presented with a quick doodle that showed all of the relevant details – and who knows? You might get some artistic fans sending in their own fully rendered version! That’s what happened with this particular comic: http://freefall.purrsia.com/ff2600/fv02546.htm and while it may not match up with the original style it still works.
3) As a bit of an artist myself (no where near your level – but still) I understand that it is hard to stop when you know you can make it so much better – so if you insist on publishing only full quality pages please make sure you give that wrist of yours a good amount of rest and just let us know that you’re still alive every so often – even if it’s just posting “Still alive” every so often. I know that I am quite willing to wait and shall be ready to enjoy your art when you return.

The first word that popped in my head when I saw this page was “Beautiful!” I wish the effort didn’t leave you thinking about death though… but I want to say that I appreciate your honesty when times are tough.
